The Remains of Buki-gura・Gusoku-gura
The size of Buki-gura was about 16 m (52 ft) in length and about 6 m (19 ft) in depth. The storage had an alternative name "Hakken-gura" (meaning 8 "ken" storehouse) which derives from the length of the building. The weapons, including firearms and archeries, owned by the lord Tōyama family were stored. Although the foundations of the storehouse have partially collapsed, most of foundation stones and curbstones still exist as they originally were. Gusoku-gura was on top of a cliff on the right side seen from Honmaruguchi-mon Gate. The size of the building was about 5 m (16 ft) x 6 m (approx.19 ft). The lord's armor and flags were kept here, which was why it was also called "Hata-gura" (meaning storehouse for flags).
