Monomi-yagura was built on a cliff facing the Kiso-gawa River. It was a partially two-storied structure with the size of about 8 m x 12 m (approx.26 x 39 ft). There were two rooms; a foot soldiers' armor closet and a storeroom. It has a splendid view from Monomi-yagura overlooking mountains continuing into Mt. Ena and Nakatsugawa city urban area stretching out at the foot of the mountains.
