The Remains of Watakura-mon Gate
The Watakura-mon Gate standing in the form of blocking the way going up to Hon-maru (the main enclosure of a castle) was kept closed after 4 p.m. so that nobody could approach Hon-maru. The name of the gate "Wata-kura" derives from a historical fact that the 2nd floor of the gate was used as a storage of floss silk that was paid as land tax.
